Authorities in Langkawi are investigating multiple complaints of property damage allegedly caused by aerial demonstrations during the ongoing LIMA’25 exhibition. Kedah police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh confirmed 27 reports have been filed, with investigations underway to verify the claims before submitting findings to event organizers and aviation authorities.

The police chief emphasized the importance of authentic complaints while cautioning against potential misuse of the reporting system. He revealed that independent verification by Malaysia’s Civil Aviation Authority will determine whether the damages resulted from aircraft shockwaves during the international aerospace showcase.

With LIMA’25 attracting significant public interest, authorities have implemented extensive visitor management plans. Approximately 9,000 parking spots are available near the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, supplemented by 300 additional spaces at Resorts World Langkawi. Over 35,000 advance tickets have reportedly been sold for the maritime and air displays.

To ease congestion, officials strongly recommend using the designated MyCar e-hailing service, which provides dedicated access during road closures. The Defence Ministry has acknowledged resident concerns, assuring proper evaluation of all damage claims related to the high-profile international event.
