TIONG Nam Logistics Holdings Bhd has delivered a remarkable financial turnaround, with its latest quarterly results showcasing a dramatic surge in profitability. The company’s net profit skyrocketed to RM42.96 million in 4Q25, a staggering 300% increase from the RM10.60 million recorded in the same period last year, primarily fueled by favorable valuation changes in its property investments.

The logistics specialist saw robust performance across its core operations, with total revenue growing 18.24% to RM228.68 million. This growth was anchored by strong demand in logistics and warehousing services, which expanded 21.5% to RM218.3 million, serving both local and international clients. The property development segment also made significant strides, with revenue leaping sevenfold to RM9.6 million thanks to active residential projects in Johor.

Despite these quarterly gains, the full-year picture showed some challenges. Annual net profit fell 27.47% to RM41.54 million, even as revenue climbed 13.84% to RM863.59 million. This decline stemmed from reduced fair value gains compared to the previous year and higher operational expenses tied to warehouse expansions. Managing Director Ong Yoong Nyock remains bullish about future prospects, outlining ambitious plans to grow warehouse capacity to 11.1 million square feet within three years.

The company’s expansion strategy includes adding nine new facilities across Malaysia, building on its current 9.6 million square foot footprint. Investors appeared cautious despite the positive outlook, with shares dipping 1.5% to close at 65 sen, giving TIONG Nam a market valuation of RM343.1 million. This mixed reaction reflects both the company’s strong quarterly performance and the challenges of maintaining growth momentum in a competitive logistics landscape.
