Malaysia’s real estate sector reached new heights of recognition as the 11th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia honored the nation’s most innovative developers at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. The prestigious ceremony, held in partnership with iProperty, highlighted groundbreaking achievements across 58 categories, with sustainability and community-centric development taking center stage.
AME Development emerged as the night’s standout winner, securing three major accolades including Best Developer (Malaysia), Best Industrial Developer, and Best Sustainable Developer. The company’s commitment to environmentally conscious industrial projects set a benchmark for the industry. Regional excellence was also celebrated, with Malton Berhad and Berinda Group claiming top honors for Central and Southern Malaysia respectively, thanks to their transformative projects like Bukit Jalil City and Ponderosa Callista.
A defining feature of this year’s awards was the introduction of ESG-specific categories, reflecting the growing emphasis on responsible development. Iskandar Investment Beradh and Tanah Sutera Development were recognized for their low-carbon initiatives and social impact, while Lendlease & TRX City’s TRX Residences won both Sustainable Design Champion and Best High-Rise Development (Malaysia). Sime Darby Property further solidified its reputation with multiple wins, including Best Landed Development for The Residences III at The Glades.
The People’s Choice Awards gave voice to property seekers, with public votes determining the top 10 developers, including Mah Sing Group, Tropicana Corporation, and UDA Holdings. Industry leaders praised the winners for reshaping Malaysia’s urban landscape through innovation and sustainability. “These developers are not just building properties—they’re creating communities that prioritize environmental stewardship and economic inclusivity,” remarked Jeremy Williams of PropertyGuru Group.
