The move signals the developer&#8217;s confidence in the region&#8217;s growing demand for student housing and residential projects near educational hubs.<\/p>\n<p>The larger acquisition, priced at RM99 million, includes a plot of land with completed foundation work and two 19-story student accommodation buildings featuring 513 units. These facilities can house over 3,000 students, aligning with Titijaya&#8217;s strategy to capitalize on the area&#8217;s increasing need for affordable housing near universities.<\/p>\n<p>A second, smaller purchase involves a RM6 million plot with an abandoned structure originally meant for the Bangunan Koperasi UMS project. The stalled development, launched in 2012, was intended to include a 14-story residential tower, commercial spaces, and parking facilities. Titijaya plans to revive the project, transforming it into modern residential properties.<\/p>\n<p>Both properties are strategically positioned next to Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and the soon-to-open Hospital UMS, expected to begin operations next year.
