AmanahRaya REIT has announced a strategic expansion with its latest property acquisition in Selangor. The trust is purchasing a 132,700-square-foot industrial facility in Telok Panglima Garang for RM39 million, marking a significant addition to its real estate holdings.
The seller, Alpha Express Sdn Bhd, will continue operating from the site under a decade-long triple net lease agreement, paying RM195,000 monthly. Rental adjustments are built into the contract for future renewals, ensuring stable returns for AmanahRaya REIT investors.
Financed through bank loans, the deal is projected to boost the REIT’s distributable income while diversifying its asset base. The transaction is slated for finalization by late 2025, reinforcing the trust’s long-term growth strategy.
Investors responded positively to the news, with AmanahRaya REIT shares rising 2.67% to 38.5 sen. The trust, majority-owned by the Minister of Finance Inc, now holds a market value of RM220.7 million, reflecting growing confidence in its portfolio.
